Use & Care

The best way to clean a cork yoga mat is to use a soft cloth with cold water. Gently wipe the mat with the damp cloth and then let it air dry before rolling it up and storing it. Scrubbing the mat too hard (e.g. with a scouring pad) can damage the mat.

If the yoga mat looks stained or needs to be thoroughly cleaned, you can make your own cleaner for the cork yoga mat:

Fill a spray bottle or (plant) spray with the following ingredients:

• 3 parts water
• 1 part Witch Hazel or white vinegar
• 5 drops of your favorite essential oil. Lavender, tea tree, lemongrass and eucalyptus are the
  essential oils recommended for their disinfectant properties.

1. Shake the spray bottle.
2. Spray the mat with the spray and wipe it clean with a soft cloth.
3. Allow the mat to air dry completely before storing.

It is up to you how often you clean your cork yoga mat. Some people wipe the mat every time after use, other people clean it once a week. If you sweat a lot and/or use the mat daily, we recommend cleaning it after each use.
