Halita Tongue Scraper - Tongue Cleaner

A tongue scraper or tongue cleaner is used for Jihva Dhauti, one of the traditional cleansing methods from yoga and ayurveda.

Dhauti shatkarma is one of the programs (also called Shatkriya); the yoga system of the body cleansing techniques. In Dhauti the body is cleansed internally (eg stomach, throat, intestines, teeth (Danta Dhauti)) and also the tongue is cleaned (jihva Dhauti).

This PVC tongue cleaner removes the plaque layer on the tongue. This is more effective in the fight against VZV (volatile sulfur compounds) than cleaning with a toothbrush. VZV are the main cause of bad breath.

How to use the Halita Tongue Scraper

It is important to clean the tongue daily to maintain fresh breath and good oral health.

1. First clean the centre of the tongue, using the part of the tongue cleanser that has an outer ridge.
2. Clean the sides of the tongue using the smooth part of the tongue cleanser.
